VP of Operations

The Ideal candidate will have (8) + years operational leadership experience in the Environmental Services, Construction, Demolition, EPC, or Remediation industries. (3) + years executive or VP leadership background with a strong Project Management track record of success. BS/BA (Required). MS/MA (Preferred).

The VP of Operations will lead, direct and execute all areas of the company’s operations with regard to the company’s purpose, values, objectives, mission, and vision. This role will participate in strategic planning and be an integral member of the executive leadership team by providing sound counsel and feedback to other executive team members. The individual will lead, manage and drive accountability across all areas of the operational business embodying the true meaning of leadership, by making the team’s success the most important objective!

Desired Skills and Experience

  • BS/BA Degree (Required)
  • MS or MBA (Preferred)
  • (8) + years of related work experience including no less than (3) years at a VP level.
  • (6) + years at a VP, or higher level. (Preferred)
  • WIP (Works in Progress) accounting principles (Mandatory)
  • Ability to perform all facets of projects such as coordination, inspection, permits, etc. if needed
  • Managing multiple projects and maintaining focus on priorities.
  • Mentor, Leader, Coach that can motivate personnel past their strengths and educate when needed.

Lead Responsibilities
  • Integral part of the Executive Leadership Team
  • Work closely with senior leadership on meeting growth goals, supporting internal initiatives and bringing the company’s vision to fruition.
  • Responsible for creating an annual department budget and contributing to the annual company budget by controlling costs to stay within that budget.
  • Utilizing WIP (Works in Progress) accounting principles to manage departmental budgeting and forecasting.
  • Margin and variance reporting.
  • Create annual departmental plans and achieving the goals established in those plans.
  • LMA (Leadership, Management, and Accountability) for all operational personnel and company projects.
  • Purchasing, Budgeting, and Supply Chain
  • Vendor management, compliance, and client relationships
  • Establish specific needs and project scope requirements
  • Lead all company operational personnel in the principles of good business and in recognizing that project success is the ultimate focus.
  • Conducts personnel growth reviews for employees.

Compensation / Salary

  • Very competitive base salary $200K – $250K base + bonus | LTI
