Regional Vice President of Finance
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years finance and accounting experience and 4+ years of leadership acumen. Previous or current Supply Logistics / Transportation experience highly preferred.
We are looking for an experienced Regional Vice President of finance to oversee all financial aspects of a high-growth transportation and logistics business based out of Newark, NJ. This individual will oversee the implementation of accurate financial reporting systems required to support a growing business with national reach. The Regional Vice President of Finance will be responsible for accurate and timely reporting of financial reports related to the business, as well as in-depth analysis of business segments and opportunities. This role reports directly to both the divisional president, as well as the Chief Financial Officer of our corporate parent.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or an MBA
- 8+ years in strategic finance, operational finance, FP&A or related roles
- 4+ years of team management experience
- Demonstrated ability to build financial and operational KPI reporting from the ground-up
- Experience structuring disorganized financial data
- Experience integrating financials across multiple operating systems, as well as across parent and subsidiary organizations
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems
- Experience working in fast-paced private equity-backed portfolio company a plus
- Previous work experience in the transportation and logistics space

Lead Responsibilities
- Monthly financial reporting, including but not limited to monthly close reporting, bank reconciliation, and P&L reporting
- Developing and producing weekly and daily reporting
- Identifying key performance drivers for the business based on actual financials data
- Directing the AR/AP processes within the business in coordination with corporate parent
- Financial analysis of multiple business lines and locations, including drayage, over-the-road trucking, warehousing, and others
- Support decision-making among senior leadership through detailed margin analysis and ad hoc requests from corporate and private equity sponsors
- Development of annual and monthly budgets and forecasts across multiple service lines
- Coordination between the Company division and its corporate parent on financial reporting and forecasting
