Staff Accountant

The Ideal candidate will have 2+ years accounting, AR | AP, reporting and GL experience.

We are looking for an experienced staff accountant to join the growing finance and accounting team. This role will be an integral part of our growing business, involved in financial account and reporting for multiple divisions across the business. Reporting to our Controller, the Staff Accountant will have the opportunity to pick up multiple responsibilities and broaden their reach over time, with lots of room for growth within the business.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • 1+ years in accounting
  • Demonstrated ability to build financial reporting from the ground-up
  • Experience integrating financials across parent and subsidiary organizations, as well as integrating financials from acquisitions
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems
  • Previous work experience in the skilled trades space beneficial, but not required

Lead Responsibilities
  • General ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries
  • Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements, maintaining general ledger charts of accounts, assisting with initial internal control evaluations
  • Posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals
  • Managing the AP/AR processes across multiple divisions of the business
  • Supporting the month-end close process of the business
