Senior Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources manager will oversee 200+ manufacturing employees and 200+ employees in office supporting functions. The ideal candidate will have 5+ yrs. Union experience with Law/Union Liaison exposure and an advanced HR generalist background.

Desired Skills and Experiences for Senior Human Resources Manager

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Human Resources or Equivalent Degree
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • Advanced Generalist experience throughout all of HR Business Segments preferred
  • Law/Union Liaison experience preferred

Lead Responsibilities for Senior Human Resources Manager
  • Overview of responsibilities include compensation, recruiting, compliance, benefits, employee relations, training and development. Typically deals with more complex issues.
  • Ensures that Human Resources practices are consistently applied for the site and are compliant with internal policy as well as external government requirements.
  • Acts as a business partner setting culture and managing employee communications within the business.
  • May develop or manage less-experienced Human Resources employees.
  • Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports.
  • Provides guidance on the above areas to less-experienced Human Resources employees. Partners with assigned business/function to execute the AOP & LRP. Drives corporate culture through establishing effective employee relations, education and communication for the assigned business/function. Executes the Business Talent Review Process, through recruiting, retention, evaluation and placement of key talent including succession planning, training and development.
  • Procures human resources, recruiting, compliance, communications, job evaluation, training, development, compensation, benefits and employee relations as well as other activities needed to carry out human resources objectives and programs.
  • Resolve employee issues/grievances by working with Union leadership. Responsible for supporting and driving High Energy Teams and the goal to achieve One Star Performance Excellence.
  • Responsible for consistently enforcing the Union contract and be a representative during negotiations.
  • Coaches HR staff and maintains metric goals within approved budgets and timelines.
