Senior Environmental Engineer

The ideal candidate will have at least 15-20 years of experience in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Services working in construction, and remediation.

The Senior Environmental Engineer will be responsible for preparing proposals for projects, assembling and preparing the team for projects, as well as managing and overseeing the team completing the work. They will also serve as a liaison between project completion, customer engagement, and mentoring lower-level staff completing the work as well as reviewing their work. They will be responsible for crafting and delivering proposals to maximize potential revenue generation.

Essential Functions

  • Performs all responsibilities and duties with a “Safety‐First” personal approach and adheres to OSHA standards
  • Able to perform and lead assessment field activities: groundwater sampling, soil investigations, well installation, free product bailing, etc.
  • Able to lead engineering field activities: Operation and maintenance of remedial treatment systems, episodic treatment events, pilot tests, etc., and perform restarts and troubleshooting on active remediation systems
  • Performs engineer (PE) oversite on implementation of engineer designs: remediation system construction, source removal, etc.
  • Serve as a project manager for 6‐15 sites: finding and managing subcontractors, fieldwork, scheduling and coordination, regulator correspondence, maintaining project flow and meeting deadlines, and project invoicing.
  • Taking detailed notes during activities in the field and creating complete and comprehensive reports with recommendations for clients
  • Ensures compliance with company, government, OSHA, and other job‐specific regulations
  • Creating and performing the final review of design reports: pilot test plan, Remedial action plan, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, abilities, and experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, (PE preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Professional Geologist (PG) License
  • Must have 15-20+ years of experience in environmental engineering and environmental services
  • Must have experience interfacing with clients, project management, subcontractors and team members
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
  • Experience with Phase One, Phase Two, and Phase Three
  • Proficient in Autocad
  • 40‐hour HAZWOPER training (The company will provide this)
