We are seeking a qualified Manufacturing Engineer with 3+ yrs of high proficiency within plastic molding, blow molding, CAD, injection molding, processing and tooling experience. Desired Skills and Experience

  • Technical Degree
  • CAD and Solidworks experience
  • 3+ years of direct Plastics, Molding, Injection experience
  • Knowledge of any of the following:
    • Thermoset/thermoplastic
    • Plastic Process
    • Plastic Injection
    • Blow Molding
    • Processing and Tooling
    • Mold Design
    • Injection Press

Lead Responsibilities
  • Working “hands on” with floor operations, clients, and vendors
  • Assists in determining the operations required for more complex projects in fabrication and assembly of products as well as implementing cost-savings process improvements.
  • Owns the processes – creates capable processes. 
  • Responsible for plastics processing and mold repair and maintenance. 
  • Coordinates mold repair and maintenance. 
  • Refines molding and related processes to improve efficiency. 
  • Creating and maintaining process documentation. 
  • Develops tooling and fixturing for secondary operations. 
  • May coach or manage less-experienced team members and assist in training set-up.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves more complex issues, develops the sequence of operations, estimates time requirements for each, and prepares operation sheets. 
  • Identifies, recommends and implements improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters in order to increase efficiency and cost savings. 
  • Leads projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency. 
  • Designs new line layouts or re-designs plant layout.
