The General Manager, Industrial Automation will be responsible for leading the Industrial Automation Division and will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company’s strategic direction, operations, and growth.

Essential Functions

Strategic Leadership and Team Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the division’s strategic plans, aligning with the overall company objectives.
  • Provide visionary leadership to drive innovation and stay abreast of industry trends in market segments.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Conduct performance assessments, provide constructive feedback, and support career development.

Operational Management:

  • Direct and supervise all aspects of business execution, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of industrial automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, improve productivity, and enhance overall operational performance.

Financial Oversight:

  • Manage budgetary responsibilities, including forecasting, financial planning, and cost control.
  • Evaluate and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability within the industrial automation division.

Market Analysis, Business Development, and Client Relationship Management

  • Conduct market research to identify business opportunities and potential areas for expansion.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to pursue new clients and partnerships in the industrial automation sector.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Quality and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality control measures in all industrial automation projects.
  • Implement and maintain best practices to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with industrial automation projects, ensuring proactive problem-solving and contingency planning.
  • Implement robust project management methodologies to minimize risks and optimize project outcomes.

    Knowledge, Skills, abilities, and experience
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
    • At least 10 years of experience in a management role.
    • Proven experience in a leadership role within the industrial automation sector.
    • Strong understanding of automation technologies, AC Drives, PLCs, HMI’s, and related systems.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • A demonstrated ability to drive business growth and achieve financial targets.
