Electrical Application Engineer

We are seeking a qualified candidate for an Electrical Application Engineer opportunity that has 3+ years experience in CAD design, ECM and motor air handling technology, ability to capture the VOC and customer service/servicing relations.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Technical Bachelor’s degree (CE, CS, EE, SE, EET) or equivalent related experience
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of CAD software, Computer network setup, HTML Language, MODBUS, how to setup server networks
  • Familiar with agency testing – UL, CSA, IEC, etc.
  • Commercial motor application experience
  • Six Sigma Training/Certification (Green Belt / DFLSS)
  • Working knowledge of CAD Software, Computer setups using networks and custom software installation

Lead Responsibilities
  • Responsibility within ECM and fan system applications including: site commissioning and support, documentation of design application, and production/quality support. Specific responsibilities include: Ownership of Fan Filter Units (FFU) site commissioning and other application support
  • Designs and/or improves routine components and products with guidance on manufacturability, quality and cost with a strong understanding of design tools and methods.
  • Optimizes components and products with guidance on manufacturability, quality and cost with a strong understanding of analysis methods.
  • Solves problems with a solid understanding of problem-solving process and ability to apply to routine design problems.
  • Assists in capturing voice of customer and development of product specifications.
  • Translates customer needs to manufacturing requirements.
  • Creates test plans and develops new test protocol for products or components, with a basic understanding of reliability and failure mechanisms.
  • Design, debug, and testing of FFU applications and installation.
  • Documentation of installation site setups and requirements using CAD software and other methods
  • Translation of customers’ requirements into actionable installations and FFU package sales.
  • Debugs and supports software and hardware development, testing, production and quality teams
  • Works with European teams to meet new customer/system requirements related to advanced products.
  • Significant travel will be required.
