Corporate Accountant II – Ledgers and Journal

The Corporate Accountant will perform complex accounting activities including the consolidation and analysis of general ledger activity and financial reports. Prepares and reviews journal entries and account reconciliations of multiple businesses for the preparation of company consolidated financial reports. May coach and assist in training of less experienced employees.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • B.S. in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of increasingly responsible accounting experience
  • Public Accounting experience and/or Manufacturing experience desired
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Blackline and Hyperion experience desired
  • Oracle experience, and/or Systems implementation experience a plus
HIDDEN
Lead Responsibilities
  • Prepares, records and tracks journal entries and general ledger reconciliations. May review account reconciliations performed by other team members.
  • Assists team with month-end close including preparation and review of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Consolidates and verifies financial data from business groups and identifies and investigates irregularities.
  • Responds to business unit questions regarding accounting policies or implications and provides guidance and support to company finance teams.
  • Provides data as requested to internal and external auditors for the corporate accounting group.
  • Serves as the lead team member for inter-company balancing and works to identify and reconcile inter-company balances with global partners.
  • May assist with Hyperion loads and final Hyperion consolidations
  • Works with corporate accounting team to streamline and improve current accounting processes to facilitate the month end close and reconciliation processes.
  • Performs tasks in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
