Position Summary
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across all manufacturing locations.
- Ensure production capacity aligns with business demand while maintaining cost efficiency and product quality.
- Standardize operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices across facilities.
- Optimize labor efficiency, production throughput, and equipment utilization.
- Partner with leadership to execute operational strategies that achieve company growth targets.
- Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into the operational network.
- Partner with the head of safety to cultivate a safety culture focused on proactive prevention and accountability.
- Lead quality management systems to ensure consistency and reduce defects across all products and facilities.
- Drive compliance with OSHA, ISO, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Reduce warranty costs and customer complaints through structured continuous improvement.
- Oversee procurement, logistics, and supplier management to ensure reliable, cost-effective material flow.
- Manage inventory to balance availability with working capital efficiency.
- Drive improvements in PPV through disciplined sourcing, negotiation, and supplier performance management.
- Ensure materials are available to meet production schedules and customer demand without overstocking.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process-improvement programs to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Identify bottlenecks, implement corrective actions, and foster a mindset of daily improvement at every level.
- Strengthen operational flexibility and scalability to support growth.
- Revenue contribution through efficient execution.
- Gross margin improvement via cost reduction and process optimization.
- Quality metrics: first-pass yield, customer returns, defect rates.
- Safety: recordable incident rate, near-miss tracking, compliance.
- Inventory turns, excess stock, working capital efficiency.
- On-time delivery and fulfillment reliability.
- Productivity: labor efficiency, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- PPV: supplier performance and material cost management.
- Lead and develop plant managers, quality, safety, and supply chain leaders into a cohesive, performance-driven team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Partner with finance, sales, and product management to ensure operations align with strategic priorities.
- Oversee CapEx planning and project execution to enhance manufacturing capabilities and capacity.
Position Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive leadership in multi-site manufacturing operations.
- Proven success driving operational transformation, COI/Lean implementation, and measurable performance gains.
- Expertise in supply chain management, cost control, PPV management, and procurement strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to improve quality, delivery, and profitability simultaneously.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L impact.
- Deep understanding of safety, compliance, and regulatory standards.
