Sr. Financial Analyst & AI – Manufacturer and distributor

This role will own the operating rhythm of finance and the systems that run it. This role sets the analytical direction, builds the automated reporting and planning infrastructure behind it, and runs the recurring cycles on top of it. Partnering directly with operators across the business, sharpen the processes that work, design the ones that do not exist yet, and turn the output into decisions leadership acts on.

• Daily and weekly. operational reporting to leadership.
• Monthly. management reporting, the operating review package, and variance analysis against comparison periods.
• Quarterly. board reporting.
• Ongoing. recurring commercial and operational reporting.
• Cyclical. forecast and planning support, including the inputs and the cadence behind it.

Engagement

• Automate the data flow behind every recurring report.
• Work with business intelligence on data model structure and reporting infrastructure.
• Own data quality and governance: metric definitions, master data, reconciliations, audit processes.
• Pull requirements out of stakeholders and turn them into defined outputs.
• Document what you build.
• Set the validation standard and own the number that goes out.

Partner

• Pricing, customer and product profitability, operational performance.
• Recommendations, not just reports.
• Ad hoc work that comes with a growing, acquisitive business.

• 5 to 7 years in FP&A, financial analysis, or commercial finance.
• You have owned a recurring reporting cycle or a forecast cycle end to end.
• AI proficiency and execution
• You have built and run automated finance workflows, not just talked about them.
• You understand data modeling and relational databases: tables, keys, relationships.
• You can hold a clear conversation with people who are not in finance.

Helps, Not Required

• SQL, Python, Power BI or Fabric.
• Manufacturing or distribution.
• Multi entity environment.
• ERP or EPM: SysPro, Business Central, Prophix, OneStream, Anaplan.
