Position Summary
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with the COO and President on financial strategy and operational decisions
- Oversee accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, and cash flow
- Prepare accurate financial reports and dashboards across wholesale, retail, and e-commerce channels
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with seasonal fashion cycles
- Monitor commission and bonus programs for sales and retail staff
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls
- Support audits, tax accruals, and lender documentation
- Provide insights on product launches, inventory, and retail expansion initiatives
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- CPA preferred, not required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience (fashion, apparel, retail, or consumer goods industry strongly preferred)
- 2+ years leading accounting staff
- Strong knowledge of production costing, inventory management, and wholesale vs. retail reporting
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate financials for both executive and creative leaders
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience (NetSuite, BlueCherry, SAP preferred)
