VP of Sales
The Vice President of Sales will lead and manage the sales organization, driving revenue growth and market share expansion for our robotic solutions within the manufacturing sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in selling complex technical solutions, building high-performing teams, and fostering strong customer relationships. The VP of Sales will report directly to the CEO and will be a key member of the executive leadership team.
Lead Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution:Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives. This includes identifying target markets, defining sales channels, setting sales targets, and creating sales plans.
- Team Leadership & Management:Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team, including regional sales managers, account managers, and sales engineers. This includes hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Revenue Generation:Drive revenue growth by achieving and exceeding sales targets. This includes developing and managing a robust sales pipeline, forecasting sales revenue, and closing key deals.
- Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including C-level executives and decision-makers at manufacturing companies. This includes understanding their needs, providing solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence:Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats. Use this information to refine the sales strategy and product positioning.
- Sales Operations & Process Improvement:Oversee sales operations, including sales forecasting, CRM management, sales reporting, and sales process optimization. Implement best practices to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaboration & Communication:Collaborate effectively with other departments, including marketing, engineering, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and achieve company objectives. Communicate regularly with the executive team on sales performance, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Budget Management:Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and that sales expenses are controlled.
- Contract Negotiation:Oversee the negotiation of sales contracts and ensure that all contracts are in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Travel:Extensive travel will be required to meet with customers, attend industry events, and manage the sales team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on automation or robotics.
- Proven track record of successfully selling complex technical solutions to manufacturing companies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate, and manage high-performing sales teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of the manufacturing industry and the challenges faced by manufacturers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales forecasting tools.
