Position Summary
Primary Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve annual bookings, revenue, and margin targets across pharmaceutical and life sciences markets
- Own forecasting accuracy, pipeline development, and revenue predictability
- Market Expansion & Growth
- Protect and expand existing customer base while identifying new growth opportunities across branded, generic, specialty, and contract manufacturing segments
- Drive both recurring revenue and large, complex commercial agreements
- Complex Deal Leadership
- Lead negotiations for high-value, multi-stakeholder deals, ensuring alignment with company risk profile, compliance standards, and commercial objectives
- Partner with legal, regulatory, finance, and operations teams to close sophisticated agreements
- Sales Leadership & Talent Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales organization with a strong culture of accountability, execution, and collaboration
- Recruit, develop, and retain top commercial talent
- Key Account Management
- Personally manage and oversee relationships with strategic pharmaceutical and biotech accounts
- Serve as executive sponsor for key customers, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction
- Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor pharmaceutical industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics
- Incorporate market intelligence into go-to-market strategies and product positioning
- Recommend target markets and growth priorities based on technology trends, customer needs, and competitive gaps
Position Requirements
- Proven experience as a Vice President of Sales or senior commercial leader within pharmaceuticals, biotech, life sciences, or closely related regulated industries
- Demonstrated success leading sales organizations across the Americas region
- Strong background in complex B2B sales, long sales cycles, and high-value contract negotiations
- Experience selling into regulated pharmaceutical environments (GxP, FDA-regulated customers) strongly preferred
- Strategic, financially minded leader with the ability to align sales execution with enterprise-level goals
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ as required
